Hi Sian, The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill, setting out the measures to reform Companies House, was introduced to Parliament on 22 September 2022. The Bill will make it a requirement for all directors, persons with significant control and those filing information on behalf of a company to undergo compulsory identity verification checks before a company is incorporated. Additionally, the Registrar will be given broader powers so she can become a more active gatekeeper over company registrations and ensure that information on the register is more reliable. This will include powers to query suspected fraudulent incorporations or addresses, request further evidence and, where justified, reject registrations. You can read more about the reforms and the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency bill here.companieshouse.blog.gov.uk/category/legislative-reform/ Thanks, LM.

Can I file as micro entity this year? 2. I am uncertain where I put the value of how much the company owns me (Director). Is this reflected in these accounts and if so where? Thank you for your help.

      1. Yes you can change the 'size' of your entity, year over year - so can change to Micro Entity if you comply. 2. The value of how much the company owes you would show up in the 'Balance Sheet' under 'Non-Current Liabilities'.

What about the accounts that go to HMRC for corp tax which everyone has to do. Hi, Most limited companies are ‘limited by shares’. It is likely that when you set up your company, at least 1 share was allocated to at least 1 shareholder at the cost of at least £1. It is this information that is needed in the 'called up share capital not paid' and the 'cash at bank and in hand' fields. If the shares have been paid, you would enter the cost of the shares in ‘cash at bank and in hand‘ and leave ‘called up share capital not paid’ blank. If the shares have not been paid up, you would enter the cost of the shares in ‘called up share capital not paid’ and leave ‘cash at bank and in hand’ blank. The Net assets field should automatically total for each column.
